ST. PAUL — Veterans Day on the Hill 2023 will be March 30.
The DAV of Minnesota will provide a free lunch at 11 a.m. at the St. Paul Armory, 600 Cedar St. Doors open at 10 a.m.
The Veterans March is at 12:40 p.m. from the Armory to the Veterans Service Building, followed by a rally at the Capitol Rotunda at 1 p.m.
Topics include passing a veterans omnibus bill, suicide prevention efforts, property tax relief for surviving spouses, fixing the post-9/11 service bonus and funding new buildings at the Hastings Veterans Home.
The DAV of Minnesota has offered to assist posts with the cost of transportation. It will pay for half, but posts cannot charge for rides, not even free-will offerings.
