Purpose of the Department Logo

The red, white and blue image of Minnesota coupled with the American Legion Brand Mark is a way to distinguish The American Legion Department of Minnesota acting as one unit for the good of veterans statewide, from the pines to the prairies.

Usage Permission

Like the American Legion Emblem and Brand Mark, the Department Logo is legally protected property of The American Legion Department of Minnesota. Any use outside of the organization – such as merchandising, marketing by groups unaffiliated with The American Legion or at political events – is legally restricted and requires authorization.

The possession of this logo in this format does not constitute permission to reproduce them. Permission to reproduce the emblems and brand marks associated with The American Legion, the American Legion Auxiliary and Sons of The American Legion is confined to those activities as listed in the current Post Officers Guide, and this applies similarly to department logos.
