At the Fall 2023 Meetings, the American Legion Americanism Commission decided that, going forward, the insignia on American Legion Baseball uniforms shall be the Baseball Emblem, better known as the “crossed bats.” By selecting “download” on this page, you may download a zip file of various forms of the Baseball Emblem for the sake of your team uniforms.
For the 2024 and 2025 seasons, it is allowable to wear uniforms that still bear the Baseball Brand Mark. However, team managers and coaches are encouraged to switch back to the Baseball Emblem going forward.
The 2024 Minnesota American Legion Rulebook states: “Any player, coach or manager who does not have an American Legion Baseball emblem on either the left sleeve or left chest of his uniform shirt, wind shirt or jacket will be removed from the game. Explanation: The American Legion Americanism Committee is encouraging all teams to switch back to the crossed-bats American Legion emblem. If a team has uniforms with the new brand mark, it is allowed in 2024 and 2025 but discouraged going forward. The brand mark is allowed for promotional purposes — such as signs, ads, souvenirs or fan clothing.”
