MINNEAPOLIS — The University of St. Thomas will host a special event on Veterans Day, and The American Legion is invited.
Called Honoring Veterans with Restorative Justice, this two-hour program at the university’s law school in downtown Minneapolis will highlight why veterans need restoration and healing from invisible injuries resulting from military service.
It will describe the role veterans treatment courts and the Minnesota Restorative Justice Act play in their lives.
By contacting their lawmakers, the members of Minnesota American Legion played a major role in passing the Minnesota Restorative Justice Act. The law was signed in 2021.
The event is free. Registration is necessary to determine a count and to receive the livestream’s link.
A reception will follow the program.
