Subject: Corona Virus Relief Act) on 3/30/2020 at 9:29 pm which was a White Paper developed by Davy Leghorn of our Washington Office. This an opportunity for departments and posts to help offset some employee costs as well help the employees during this period where posts are shut down by local government. I was talking with Davy today of course things are changing on a daily basis. He advises to get the word out and let the posts start reviewing the process as early as possible and get the paperwork in the queue. It is planned that the approved Financial institutions should be getting the appropriate guidance this Friday. Your state Small Business organization is a good point of contact for answers in your state. The following are two links to go to for more information: HTTP://covid19relief.sba.gov/ and This link provides a great tutorial for pursuing the loan programs: https://www.uschamberfoundation.org/sites/default/files/C3_COVID_EmergencyLoanGuide.pdf
The “White Paper” can be reviewed on the MNLegion website click on the Covid-19 tab.
I just want to add that these loan/grant programs are provided on a first come first serve basis. Once $349 billion cap is exhausted – no new applications will be taken. Please plan accordingly as you determine if EIDL or PPP is appropriate for you.
Best,
Davy Leghorn
