The Department of Minnesota has 700 empty cans of Spam that honor the 100th National Convention, which took place in Minneapolis in August 2018. The cans feature the state of Minnesota on the front.
Department Adjutant Mike Maxa is giving them away free of charge.
Anyone, whether they are Legion members or not, can get them at the department offices on the third floor of the Veterans Service Building in St. Paul. Maxa said the department doesn’t intend to mail them, but “if people let us know they are coming and want us to save some, we will. They are a great way for post commanders to show appreciation for volunteers.”
