Camporee

What: Annual Camporee

When: 10 – 12 September 2020

Where: Legionville Camp

Who: Host – Sons of The American Legion

Happenings:

  • The dormitories will remain closed throughout the camp and during the length of Camporee. If you plan on staying on the Legionville grounds you will need a tent, camper or RV. There are hotels, motels in the Brainerd  area that can be used for your overnight accommodations.
  • All events will be held outside and the use of the training facility will not be utilized.
  • The Harvest Rally is scheduled for Saturday, 12 September 2020, 1500hrs, out on the Legionville grounds.
  • This is to inform all that as of this date, the 51st Legionville Camporee will be held on September 10th through the 13th At Legionville School Safety Patrol Camp. This fundraiser for Legionville, is being planned to be held while complying with the safety recommendations as outlined by The State of MN, and the CDC. But that does not mean we cannot have fun, and raise money for Legionville!

We are planning on having a Camporee similar to what has been put on in prior years. This
includes:

We are planning on holding as many events outside under tents to accommodate the membership attending this event. We ask that you social distance as appropriate, and recognize the comfort level of others with their level of social distancing desired. Masks will be required inside buildings, but outside we ask you respect each other’s comfort level and risk tolerance for wearing masks on the property.
No dormitories will be available for overnight stays. Please plan on using an RV, camper, tent, or hotel as a result. Harvest rally will start at 3:00 PM and we are targeting 6 PM for completion (if not earlier).
Speakers will be limited in their presentation times. Since the Harvest Rally is more of a family
picnic this year, the SAL Snack Shack will be open and serving food before, during, and after
the event. So please enjoy. No tickets are needed. Cash is preferred.
If you or someone else cannot attend the Harvest Rally, we will be attempting to live stream
the event. Please submit a request to the email below to be added to the invite.
Due to the situation with Covid-19, the event can change quickly. To stay informed, please
