National Convention 2018
OUR 100TH NATIONAL CONVENTION
Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 24 - 30
The American Legion, the nation's largest and most respected veterans service organization, will be conducting its 100th National Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 24 - 30, 2018.
Members gather at the National Convention to help further their cause of patriotism and support for our servicemen and women, past and present. The National Convention of The American Legion includes the following separate events: the American Legion Auxiliary’s National Convention, the Sons of The American Legion's Convention, The American Legion Riders Legacy Run. The combined membership of these organizations is nearly four million worldwide.
Along with the above mentioned and the annual business meeting, other significant elements of the National Convention include a parade, patriotic memorial service, exhibits, general sessions with nationally acclaimed keynote speakers, color guard and band contests, receptions and banquets. Since the first convention, every year The American Legion members have gathered to set the course for the future of our organization.
